Welcome to my markets newsletter. I will aim to write longer form commentary than what I post on Twitter around markets, trading, economics, investments, statistics and other random stuff that may trigger my curiosity and hopefully yours.
The noun crisis comes from the Greek word κρίση, meaning "turning point in a disease." At such a moment, the person with the disease could get better or worse: it's a critical moment. Its meaning derives primarily from the ancient Greek verb for "judge", which originally meant "separate", but quite early (since the Homeric years), also means "decide".
So in the midst of the current market crisis, having successfully and profitably traded the Asian, LTCM, DotCom, 9/11 and 2008 crisis (both on the sell & buy side), I hope my newsletter will help you navigate the challenging investment landscape ahead.
